This is our regular reminder to sort out your online security. Of course, there is always a trade-off between inconvenience and protecting your data – it’s always sods law that without doubt you will be asked for 2FA when you are in a hurry – unfortunately we can’t help with that but we can help check that you’ve got it set up correctly to ensure your data and devices are protected.
What is 2FA? (The boring bit!)
Two-factor authentication is an identity and access management security method that requires two forms of identification to access resources and data. 2FA gives businesses the ability to monitor and help safeguard their most vulnerable information and networks.
As well as your websites you should also ensure you have 2FA enabled on:
⭐Websites
⭐Mobile phones
⭐What’s App
⭐Social media channels (ensure you also have a second admin on your Facebook page)
We’ve seen a huge rise in spam messages being sent to clients social media platforms and clients loosing access to their pages. Remember – don’t open messages from unknown sources and NEVER click on the links.
We would recommend using Microsoft Authenticator App which allows you to register one or more of your business/personal devices to ensure that all are protected.
